sneak peek

so incase you live under a rock......my dear sister is joining us in Galesburg....yes she has bought a "summer home" in Galesburg and it will become her home home once her condo sells in Chicago.....

Thats all you get....its still under "construction"....but let me just tell you it is the cutest little house with fabulous potential.

I am soooo excited that she is moving home....I miss her more now that I know she is ***this close***to being here permanently. Does anyone need a great 2 bedroom condo in Chicago?

Backlog of Laziness

Well not so much laziness....more like the last post of being busy. I finally am slowing down a bit and wanted to add some pictures of our recent adventures. Rewind back to St. Patty's day. The ladies Sean worked with felt bad that he couldn't "celebrate" St. Patty's day like a true Irishman so they had a luncheon for him up at work and invited the kids and I. We dressed for the occasion and brought cupcakes.....

Next my mom and I took the train to visit em in Chicago and had a great time. We went to Clark Street to check out a few of our favorite spots, a furniture shop to get em a new couch, the carter outlet, and Nordstroms. We had a fabulous lunch in the Nordstrom Cafe....Southwest Salad for Em, Mandarin Chicken Salad for Mom and a Salmon Nicoise Salad for me....YUMMY!! Unfortunately I have no pictures from that event....but believe me a great time was had by all!Easter came next. I was in charge of the kids Easter Party at our Country Club....it turned out well besides the fact that I was frazzled from the getgo. Easter for our family went well....all the eggs and their baskets were found, we had the annual strawberry pancakes at my grandma's, we went to Mass and the kids behaved and we then enjoyed a Easter dinner with Meme, Grandad, Rock and Kari. Then to top off our day it snowed......I have decided that I am sick of snow.....are we ever going to build?

We hope that you all had a wonderful March.......Now that April is approaching I will have many reasons to blog to you.....lots of family birthdays (gran, kari, kane and cole), soccer games, working in the yard, starting the garden, trips to the zoo, go diego go live (again) and hopefully a large backhoe on our land making lots of mud....until then

Busy

In an effort to keep myself busy, I am totally confused what I have said YES to, when things are and where I am going....committee meetings, ladies club meetings, easter egg hunts to plan, Bradens swim lessons, alumni social to plan, house to plan, dr. appointments to keep, phoneathon people to call, birthday parties, house to plan, baby showers, house to plan...oh wait...I still have to exercise, do laundry, clean up toys, toys and more toys, make meals, and sleep. I have less time for the things I want to do like shower regularly, start my new jewelry with my sister, sew, blog (read and write), plan our house, put laundry away, sleep, organize my closet, call long distance friends, clean out my car, bake (might be a good thing).....I need a calendar attached to my hip, PERMANENTLY! I think I was less busy when I had a 9-5 job. At least it is getting darker later...come on Spring, show us your colors!! What keeps you busy?

Winner Winner Winner

Awhile back I discussed my "resolutions" for 2008. One of those was to be more "green" and to accomplish that I am trying to recycle, amongst other things. Like most communities the trash companies pick up recycling so I do my best....soda cans, daily newspaper, water bottles, etc. The city also has weekly recyling drawings. A list is generated of addresses...some official drives around to all the addresses starting at number 1. The first home that is on the list that is recycling is a winner......So I WON, I was the 4th house on the list, but the first with the green bin full out front!! 25.00 for ME!! So I am a winner and the Earth is a winner....maybe you should try to recycle too, you never know when you might win 25.00!

Our Visit to the Firestation

Braden's preschool class had a unit on "community helpers" and that allowed them to go on a field trip to the Firestation. Parents were encouraged to go, of course I jumped on the chance. I think I was more interested in the going-ons than Braden was....but he was fascinated all the same.

Seeing what the Galesburg Fireman look like in full gear so they know NOT to be afraid.

Firefighter Seillers (I think) couldn't have done better or been nicer. It was a great trip!!
