lookey....lookey

My sister Em was in town for the holiday weekend and she decided to track the distance from her future house to our new house. Look what she discovered...........

Tomorrow (5-27) the digging begins. This piece of equipment is called a "high hoe" so like they say....high hoe, high hoe, its off to work they go.......its 1.7 miles by the way (see above)
Fun with some of my purchases this weekend from Cooks and Companies annual tent sale
Thursday, Finley had a "run in" with a corner of a window seat........
Here it is on Monday.....looks like she was at the M.A.C. counter.....

She's at it again

So I have been experimenting with my embroidery machine and produced this today. I am teaching myself so it is a slow go......

it is a portable changing thingy that also holds a few diapers and wipes....will be a gift for a friend.

Stakes or Steaks??

So here it is...the "footprint" of the house.......doesn't look like much right?
We got a call today (5/18) that there will be some digging by the end of the week. However, it started raining right after the phone call....we will see.

....moving forward....sort of

HOPEFULLY by the end of the week(May 5th), the ground will be staked for digging. The "digger" is however behind due to the weather, but we will be ready for him!! Here are the kids running around. They love to come visit....not sure if they would rather have a huge yard to play in or a new house!! I will keep you up to date, hopefully using the kids as reference

view to where the front of the house will be (click to see the kids)

view of the future side of the house (click on the picture and you can see the kids)

"beatcha"...in all fairness, fin's pants were falling down, hindering her running skills.

Soccer = Chillly!

Braden is playing "soccer" thru the YMCA this spring. Some days he likes it, others he would rather pick the grass. Soccer, or any sport, in the Spring is somewhat questionable. His first game was rained out, second game was 40 degrees and his third game was damp and cold. These pics are from the second game...the only one weve played so far.

braden's the goalie
looking like he knows what he's doing
how he spent most of his goalie stint
check out the family behind Sean and Fin...earmuffs, blankets, neck wraps
how sean spent most of the game...entertaining Fin and keeping her off the field. thanks daddy!!

Kung Fu Panda....Again

Nana and Papa found a Kung Fu Panda book.....thank goodness, a little something to tide him over until June 6th....
check out the movie stuff at www.kungfupanda.com

Newsey

So lots of news here....
1. Emily and Amy are "this close" (imagine me holding my hands 6 inches apart) to "sealing the deal" on selling their condo. whoo hoo
2. The house stuff is in order and the "digger" a.k.a. excavator will begin mid May. He is behind on his current jobs due to the rain.
3. I am officially sick of the chilly weather...it is May 3rd and I STILL haven't been able to be outside with the plants. Our garage, however, is full of foliage.
We will definately keep you posted on all accounts!!
