Because Halloween is on a Sunday

Obviously, Halloween is on a Sunday this year.....so Tap Dance this week the kids dressed in their costume during their weekly practice (Tuesday). The grade schools dont have school on Friday so the Halloween party was on Thursday....and of course we will dress up on Sunday!!

Halloween Safety

My Brother Lucas is a K9 officer/officer for the Macomb Police Department. After Braden's request, he came and talked to Braden's 2nd grade class about Halloween Safety. He did a great job and the kids seemed to like it....although most of their questions involved handcuffs and tasers....silly second graders!!

So we had a surprise engagement party....planned on the fly....and he proposed AT THE PARTY!!!

some more 'jack'

So we have had 'Jack' for 3 weeks....he went to the vet for a check up and one week later had gained 2.9 pounds...he has figured out that when we put him in his crate at night and when we leave that it is time to rest....he has had minimal accidents in the house....he hasn't chewed up anything (yet)....he has not, however, given up on the kids. He thinks they are playmates or sheep. Constantly following them and nipping at their ankles. All that aside, we'll keep him ;)

finley and soccer

So Finley is playing soccer, or should I say is spending Saturday mornings running. She LOVES practice and does quite well. The games, however, she just runs in wide arc-ing circles. The-whole-time. Yesterday, it was UNSEASONABLY warm...like 85 degrees....she was a sweaty mess. One more game and we are finished with sports for the fall....maybe we will sign up for some swim lessons.....
