Valentine Craft

This is FUN and QUICK and EASY thing to do with the kids....or yourself to make as little Valentine gifts....we just gave one to Nana who stopped by to drop off some boxtops....I made one for me to wear to Braden's school party....I plan on eating it after :). New Favorite Treat

This little cutie and her brother have a new favorite treat!!

They are quite good...no they aren't new, but they are new to us!! The only bad thing is that they are soooo easy to open and pop one in your mouth, or 2 or 3 or 4...it takes NO effort whatsoever. UHOH

The kids made their own pizzas for dinner on Saturday. THEY LOVED IT!! We will definately have to do it again and more often!!

Sean and I had.......chili!! Neither of our kids are fans of chili, hence them eating pizza!

Happy Birthday Finley

So our "baby" Finley Grace turned 3 today. It is a strange time...she is no longer a baby, an infant, a toddler....what is she termed? A kid? Little Lady? Anyhoo....I remember when she was born, Braden was her age as she is now. I can barely remember him at that age...just as he is now.


So we are having her "party" with her brother the first weekend in Feb. We decided to combine their parties to save some family members from driving here twice in a month. We had to do something for her today, it IS her birthday and all.....

When we got home Fin wanted to open something, so I let her open her gift from Braden....she loved it.
We had my parents and sister over for Pizza and cake....i am so sick of cake...
I made finley a little cake....we had to have cake
She had THE HARDEST time blowing out the candles....sputter, sputter, sputter...maybe that is why noone ate the cake...tee hee hee

Meme and Grandad sent some cool Hello Kitty Balloons and called to wish her a Happy Birthday!

She even got a call from Kane, Cole, Shannon and Steve...they sang 'Happy Birthday' to her...she listened so quietly and patiently....then asked them to come to her party.

What to do with an unexpected 6 days off.....

I know we don't live in WI or MI, however for the past few days it certainly has felt like it. On Wednesday there was enough snow...6 inches...to call off school. Snow day number 1. Thursday there was blowing snow and it was -18 or so in the a.m.....school was called for that day as well. Snow day number 2. Friday, our school district had already a scheduled day off for institute....obviously Sat and Sun are no school and Monday is MLK day......so all in all the kids are off for 6 days. Rewind back to Thursday...it is soooo cold that you can't go outside....so by noon on Thursday we had cabin fever....here is a peek at some of our snow day adventures....candyland with mommy and daddy
